I don’t know if you’ve experienced it before, but God does answer prayers. We would do well to remember that God can accomplish in one moment what we couldn’t do in a lifetime. Some of you may know that my wife and I recently accepted a new position at Seacoast Church. I’ve been the campus pastor of our Columbia Campus for about 6 months now.

The current location of the Columbia Campus is not ideal to say the least. The building is hard to find and it is just not where you would want to place a church building. The campus has experienced growth and blessing in that location, but for 12 years people have been praying that a new location would open up.

In the course of about 4 weeks, I think we’ve secured that new location. We haven’t closed on it yet but it looks pretty certain. Check this video out and then I’ll continue with the post.

New Location

One thing I’ve learned through this experience is that God can do whatever he wants…whenever he wants to. “With God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).” Finding a new location was at the very bottom of my priority list so I definitely can’t take the credit for this.

So what about you? What have you been praying for a long time? Don’t give up hope. The scenery can change quickly. Just because God hasn’t answered your prayers doesn’t mean that he won’t. A lot of times when he has you in a waiting period it’s to refine your character. He wants you to be able to trust him when the prayers aren’t being answered just as much as you do when the prayers are being answered. Keep storming the gates of heaven with your prayer requests and remember that God hears you. He will respond in his time and in his way when it is in your best possible interest.
