Spoken Word (noun): Poetry written specifically to be presented out loud or performed, not printed on paper. An art form that focuses on intonation, voice inflection, and word play.

For me, words are a gift. They stay in my mind and stick in my heart. Speaking them out loud in poetic form was not an art form that I decided to try; it came as a natural expression of the life-changing message of Jesus at work in my heart.

“His word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.” (Jeremiah 20:9)

Speaking out in truth and love as the Lord leads us empowers others and draws people closer to Jesus, and this is one my greatest passions in life.
